The Committee on Public Health recommends that the Parliament sets up a Temporary Inquiry Panel to investigate Circumstances that beared Fateful Consequences and became a Threat to the Citizens' Life and Health during the National Measles and Rubella Vaccination Campaign

During the meeting Committee Members listened to the information of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine about the results of work concerning clarification of death causes of 17 years old youth from Kramatorsk (Donetsk region) during the measles and rubella vaccination campaign and measures taken by the Ministry during the preparation and realization of this campaign.

 

T. Bakhtejeva, Head of the Committee, stressed that Committee has not received from the representatives of the Ministry of Health satisfactory explanations concerning teenager´s death causes, who was vaccinated against measles and rubella. As well as no information was provided concerning the registration of mass appeals for medical care after the vaccination not only in Donetsk Region, but also in other regions of Ukraine.

 

Taking into account that situation get out of hand of the Ministry of Health, the Committee has taken a decision to recommend that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine sets up a Temporary Inquiry Panel to investigate circumstances that bore fateful consequence and became a threat to the citizen´s life and health.
