The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On Fish, other Water Living Resources and Food Produce from them" as a Basis

The Bill (Reg. No.2297) was elaborated in order to prevent duplication of terms, as the Law "On Safety and Quality of Foodstuffs" defines the concept "food production lot". The Bill coordinates national legislation in the field of sanitary, veterinary and phytosanitary regulation with the requirements of the EU and the WTO Agreements on Free Trade Promotion, and on Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures.
