The Bill (Reg. No. 2316) envisages to set State Commission for Regulation of Financial Services Markets as an authorized organ of government control over the activity of Bureau of credit history.
It was stressed during the Committee meeting, that to date according with current legal regulations relevant functions are laid upon the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, which "is not characteristic to it as a central government body responsible for the realization of public policy of law".
Adoption of the proposed Bill, in People´s Deputies opinion, will make it possible to increase "reliability of private borrowers´ business and financial reputation identification system, which is one of the basic conditions of further development of credit and investment markets, as well as to improve the efficiency of government control over the activity of Bureau of credit history".
