Natalia Korolevska, Committee Chairman, stated that the Conference aimed at disclosure of advantages of Ukraine´s membership in the WTO for the development of small and middle business, especially concerning its participation in the international trade. N.Korolevska deems necessary to promote cooperation between authorities and business in order to prepare enterprises and local authorities for activity under conditions of the WTO membership.
Due to its accession to the WTO, Ukraine should enhance its trade with 151 countries of the world.
The attendants of the Conference deem necessary to implement a number of regulatory reforms in order to obtain as many advantages from accession to the WTO as possible.
However, the system of technical regulation of Ukraine fails to comply with the requirements of the WTO and the EU, which hampers development of national business.
The attendants of the Conference dwelled upon the key issues of regulatory policy: immense number of documents required for conducting entrepreneurship, long terms and complicated procedures of receiving documents; high cost of regulatory procedures.
The Committee members resolved to summarize the introduced motions and take them into account in the law-making activity.
