On Tuesday, 5 February, Arseniy Yatseniuk, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, announced the list of the People´s Deputies of Ukraine who failed to register in a written form before the beginning of the plenary meeting.
Thus, 47 representatives of The Party of Regions Faction, 10 of "The Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc" Faction, 7 of the Faction of the Bloc "Our Ukraine-People´s Self-Defence", 2 of The Communist Party of Ukraine Faction, 2 of The Lytvyn Bloc Faction failed to register.
As it was reported earlier, on 25 January 2008, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine signed a Decree "On Record of Working Hours and Payroll Accounting of the People´s Deputies of Ukraine".
Thus, the pay of the People´s Deputies of Ukraine will be calculated due to the time-sheet, signed by the Chairman, the Secretary and the Secretariat Manager of the relevant Committee of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Ad Hoc Privatization Supervisory Panel of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
The Decree envisages penalties inflicted on the People´s Deputies of Ukraine in case they fail to fulfill their official duties.
Thus, the Parliament members will not be paid in case they obstruct holding of the plenary meetings, and fail to attend without a reasonable excuse the plenary meetings, sitting of the Committees etc.
General information concerning attendance of the People´s Deputies of Ukraine at the plenary meetings, sittings of the relevant Committees and the Panel will be submitted every month to Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and published at the official web-page of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
