The meeting was organized jointly with the Pedagogical Sciences Academy (PSA) of Ukraine. V. Kremin´, President of PSA of Ukraine, members of the Council of rectors of Kyiv region, academicians of the NAS and branch academies of sciences of Ukraine have participated in this meeting.
Round Table participants have discussed development matters of the research and innovative potential of the higher education, quality criteria of educational and scientific activity of the higher education, its automatization and democratization, improvement of scientific and pedagogical specialists training. Problems of Ukrainian legislation in the field of education and science adaptation within the scope of the Bologna process and the Lisbon Strategy were also discussed.
It was stressed during the meeting, that the Round Table is an important element in the preparation of the scheduled for the 18 of June 2008 Committee hearings "Improvement of legislative ensuring of the development of Higher Education in Ukraine in the context of preparation of new version of the Law "On Higher Education".
