The Bill (Reg. No.2409) is aimed at enhancing the system of judicial protection of the juvenile by means of introducing certain regulations of juvenile legislation employed in the developed countries.
The Bill introduces relevant amendments to the Family, Civil Procedural Codes of Ukraine, and the Law "On Protection of Childhood".
The Committee members believe that the said amendments should secure children´s rights, especially for contact with parents, due judicial protection of the juvenile, and their right to grow up in the family.
Moreover, the People´s Deputies call for extension of procedural rights granted to the children in accordance with the international legislation.
The Committee members deem reasonable to elaborate a separate law on juvenile justice in Ukraine in order to enhance the system of judicial protection of the juvenile.
