At the meeting, the Parties discussed development of bilateral relations and prospects of cooperation between The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Parliament of Tunisian Republic.
Mohamed Hatem Ben Salem stated that his visit aimed at development of bilateral relations and discussion of prospects of cooperation regarding support and promotion of inter-parliamentary dialogue between Tunisian Republic and Ukraine.
Oleh Bilorus, Committee Chairman, informed the Tunisian guest about the new functions of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, and reported on activity related to setting up The Verkhovna Rada Deputy Group on Inter-Parliamentary Liaison with Tunisian Republic.
The Parties also discussed opening of the embassy of Tunisian Republic in Ukraine, which will facilitate further bilateral relations between the countries, especially regarding development of tourism.
