It is necessary to adopt the relevant Draft Resolution (Reg. No. 1394) in order to confirm strategic course of Ukraine´s development. According to Borys Tarasiuk, the Committee Chairman, "the issue concerning extended cooperation between Ukraine and the NATO is to be considered at the Parliamentary hearings in order to demonstrate transparency of current cooperation with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and benefits of such cooperation".
The Committee members believe that Parliamentary hearings will depoliticize the issue concerning further extension of Ukraine-NATO relations by means of holding expert discussion with participation of representatives of Ukrainian legislative and executive authorities, NATO institutions, foreign member States of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, independent experts and Ukrainian public representatives.
