Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, deems unreasonable to extend the functions of local State administrations.
"I deem unreasonable to authorize local State administrations to cancel the acts of local self-government bodies. This is under the jurisdiction of Prosecutor´s office", - stated A.Yatseniuk at the meeting with the Presidium members of Lviv Regional Council, members of the executive committee of Lviv City Council, board members of the Regional State Administration, and mayors of towns of regional importance.
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine deems necessary to set up executive committees under the local self-government bodies.
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine also deems reasonable to transfer financial resources to the executive committees of the local councils.
A.Yatseniuk underscored importance of holding administrative and territorial reform.
A.Yatseniuk believes that long-term investment planning should become the next stage of the reform.
Dwelling upon the issues of housing and communal economy, A.Yatseniuk recommended that the local leaders should fund the said sector by means of taking loans and compensating for interest rate.
As it was reported earlier, Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, is on a working visit in Lviv and Rivne regions on 12-13 June.
A.Yatseniuk will meet the faculty and the students of Lviv Banking Institute of the National Bank of Ukraine.
A.Yatseniuk will also open the exhibition of tactile photos of Yuriy Bilan "To Touch and See".
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will hold a press conference for the local mass media, give an interview to "Lux" Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, and will appear in live broadcast of a regional State television and radio broadcasting company.
On Friday, 13 June, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will visit the National University "Ostrozka Academy", and hold a press conference for the local mass media.
