The Committee on State Building and Local Self-Government recommends that the Parliament adopts as a Basis the Bills on Amendments to Article 10 of the Law “On the State Decorations of Ukraine” (re Establishment of the Title of Honour “Honoured Miner of Ukraine”)

The Bills (Reg. No. No.1462, 1462-1) introduce amendments to Article 10, pursuant to which the title of honour "Honoured Miner of Ukraine" is established.

 

The Committee members believe that establishment of such a title will "promote restoration of social justice and enhance the prestige of the occupation of miner", as the title "Honoured Miner of Ukraine" currently in use can not be granted to the employees of the most mining enterprises.

 

Central Scientific Experts Office of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariate upholds establishment of the said title.

 

The Committee on Budget stated that establishment of the title will bear no influence on the budget expenditures.

 

Therefore, the Committee recommends that The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine unites these two Bills, and adopts a single Bill as a Basis.
