The Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement recommends that the Parliament adopts as a Basis and in its Entirety the Bill on Amendments to the Code on Administrative Infringements of Ukraine (re Enhancement of Liability for Violation of Rules for Stay in Ukraine)

The Bill (Reg. No. 2531), submitted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, raises the lower limit of sanctions envisaged by Articles 204, 205, 206, 206-1 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Infringements, and slightly raises the upper limit of liability for violations envisaged by the said articles of the Code.

 

Thus, infringements envisaged by Article 204 (violation of procedures of employment, enrolment for studies, rendering of housing, registration or ending the registration of foreigners and stateless persons), entails a fine in the amount of 100-200 non-taxable living wages of the citizens (sum total 1700-3400 Hryvnias).

 

The Committee members upheld the Bill, since its adoption will enhance prevention of infringements in the migration sector.
