The Convention (Reg. No.0007) envisages non-applicability of statutory limitations to the institution of criminal proceedings or execution of the sentence regarding crimes against humanity or the most serious violation of war laws and customs.
The statements of the Convention pertain to the crimes mentioned in the UNO Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (1948), and in the four Geneva Conventions of Year 1949: for the Amelioration of the Condition of the Wounded and Sick in Armed Forces in the Field; for the Amelioration of the Condition of Wounded, Sick and Shipwrecked Members of Armed Forces at Sea; relative to the Treatment of Prisoners of War; and relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.
