The Bill (Reg. No. 1119) imposes "a ban on cancellation of adoption, unless a child suffers from mental deficiency, mental or other incurable decease, which was or could not be unknown to the adopter at the moment of adoption".
During the discussion of the Bill, the Committee members agreed with the report of the Central Scientific Experts Office of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariate and The Supreme Court of Ukraine, pursuant to which, adoption of the Bill will result in violation of the rights of adopted children, since public bodies will not be able to protect their rights in case of bad treatment on the part of adopters, and will enable the parents to manage a child´s property without consideration of child´s needs.
Therefore, the Committee passed a resolution to recommend that the subject of legislative initiative further elaborates the Law.
