The relevant Bill (Reg. No. 0035) was submitted by the President of Ukraine.

During the discussion, the Committee members stated that this is a framework agreement, and ratification of the said Treaty is of great political importance for consolidation of international authority of Ukraine. The People´s Deputies emphasized that it will render a possibility of practical participation in implementation and formation of European security and defence policy, and will facilitate integration of Ukraine to the EU and, especially, to the European Security Dimension.

The People´s Deputy, Mykola Petruk, the Committee member, expressed several remarks to the Bill. He drew attention that the document lacks characteristics of probable technical, military and humanitarian crises, where Ukrainian subdivisions may be used, geography and financial conditions of their stay.

As a result of the discussion, the Committee resolved to uphold the Bill, taking into consideration all the motions introduced by the People´s Deputies.
