A.Yatseniuk, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, commissioned The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariate to pay the People´s Deputies of Ukraine only for those plenary days when they work at the Session Hall.
He informed of the said fact at the press conference, held on Friday, 25 January.
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stated that he announced his decision to the leaders of the Deputy Factions on Friday. According to his words, "only those Deputies, who will be present at the Hall, will receive salary. All the others, however respected they are, will not be paid". A.Yatseniuk believes that this will "regulate presence" of the People´s Deputies at the Session Hall, as well as their activity "as public elects, not just people with relevant identity cards and badges on the lapels".
