Presenting the Bill (Reg. No. 1049), the People´s Deputy Volodymyr Moisyk stated that he deems necessary to establish adequate criminal liability for committal of crimes related to violation of the State symbols of Ukraine.
The Bill supplements the list of punishments envisaged by Article 338 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. It is proposed to establish the punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 2 years for public violation of the State symbols.
The Committee members upheld the Bill that, being adopted, will serve as a means of prevention of the said crimes and will establish adequate liability for their committal.
