The Committee on State Building and Local Self-Government recommends that the Parliament adopts as a Basis the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On the Political parties in Ukraine" (re Amalgamation of Political Parties)

The Committee members scrutinized two similar Bills (Reg. No. 2002-1, No. 2002), which introduce amendments to the effective Law appertaining to the mechanism of integration of political parties by way of their amalgamation or joining another political party. 

 

O.Omelchenko, the Committee Chairman, made a motion to increase the lowest passing scorer to more than three per cent for political blocs, leaving three per cent for political parties. 

 

Therefore, the Committee passed a resolution to recommend that the parliament adopts the Bill (Reg.No. 2002-1) as a basis.
