The first meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Seimas of the Lithuanian Republic, the Senat and the Sejm of the Polish Republic will be held on Monday, 16 June at The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, will meet Bogdan Borysewicz, Sejm Marshal of the Republic of Poland, and Ceslovas Jursenas, Speaker of the Lithuanian Seimas.
The Assembly members will discuss activity of the organization, approve the list of its committees, and its statute, and will also adopt the Assembly Resolution.
The Agreement establishing the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Seimas of the Lithuanian Republic, the Senat and the Sejm of the Polish Republic was signed by the leaders of the national parliaments of Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland in Lutsk, on 13 May 2005.
