The Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and International Relations recommends that the Parliament adopts as a Basis the Draft Resolution "On Development of a National Program of Renewal of Rights of Persons forcibly resettled from their Places of Residence"

The Draft Resolution (Reg. No.2224) aims at "restoration of historical equity by recognition of actions of former USSR authority bodies towards particular population groups of Ukraine as illegal and repressive". The Draft Resolution also envisages elaboration of comprehensive actions aimed at renewal of violated rights.

 

The Committee believes that adoption of the Draft Resolution will commence the process of renewal of rights of persons forcibly resettled from their places of residence
