Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, met on Friday morning Herman Weifels, World Bank Chief Executive from the Group of States, curator of 13 countries, including Ukraine.
The Parties have discussed the international economic situation and further prospects and potential of Ukraine. Particularly, Herman Weifels said: «At present world faces the biggest three crises: financial, energy and food. Therefore Ukraine to date has a big chance to become an important player on the world arena. In my opinion, Ukraine should pay the biggest attention to the development of agriculture. »
Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine agreed with Mr Weifels and added that «Ukraine is a country of unbelievable abilities. However, political crisis is an obstacle for normal development of the state. »
Arseniy Yatseniuk and Herman Weifels have also discussed energy issues. On the occasion, the Head of Ukrainian parliament gave Herman Weifels his book "Banking secret from the times of Orange Revolution". The Parties have discussed the realization of the common program of Arseniy Yatseniuk´s fund «Open Ukraine» and the World Bank: «Research of labor migration on the basis of Ukraine´s households - 2008».
