The Committee on Social Policy and Labour recommends that the Parliament adopts as a basis the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On Public Income Indexing" and to Part 2 of the Law "On the State Budget of Ukraine for Year 2008 and on Amendments to several Legislative Acts of Ukraine".
The Bill introduces mechanisms of public income indexing aimed at securing purchasing capacity of legally established social payments of special-purpose of single nature.
The Committee upholds the Bill, as its adoption "will restore social equity, since expected consumer price index, which is a ground for living wage calculation, fails to comply with inflation rate".
