At the exit meeting held in Sumy, Volodymyr Polokhalo, Committee Chairman, stated that all branches of power are to participate in development and enhancement of education in Ukraine.
The Committee members discussed the motion concerning declaration of moratorium on closure of schools with a small number of students, which are situated in the rural area. They stated that "moratorium can be cancelled, provided all the negative consequences of school closure are eliminated".
Improper conditions of school premises that are in emergency state or in need of extensive repairs is regarded as another urgent issue.
The Committee also drew attention to "inadequate provision of educational establishments with modern educational equipment and scientific appliances".
