The Bill (Reg. No.1140) introduces amendments to the Civil Code of Ukraine, the Economic Code of Ukraine and the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On State Duty", pursuant to which, the court can immediately declare a person dead, in case the death of an individual can be presumed due to an accident or emergency situation of anthropogenic and natural character. In the said case, the rights of the relatives of the said person will be protected by the bodies of legal entities and trade unions that operate at the territory where an accident occurred.
The Committee recommends that The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine returns the Bill to the subject of legislative initiative for further elaboration.
