On Thursday, 3 April, Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, met Boris Gryzlov, Speaker of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
Today the delegation of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, headed by Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, participates in the anniversary 30th session of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States held in Saint-Petersburg (Russian Federation).
At the meeting the Parties discussed a wide range of issues concerning relations between Russia and Ukraine, especially their inter-parliamentary aspect.
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed his worry concerning extension of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, and enhancement of military aspect in the activity of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
A.Yatseniuk deems necessary to extend parliamentary aspect of bilateral relations. Inter alia, he deems important to restore the Inter-Parliamentary Ukrainian-Russian Commission.
