The Committee on Public Health recommends that the Parliament adopts as a Basis the Bill on Amendments and Supplements to the Law "On Prevention and Decrease of Consumption of Tobacco Goods and their Harmful Effect to Public Health" (re Coordination of several Regulations with the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control)

The Bill (Reg. No.2110) amends the Law in order to coordinate national legislation with the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control, and to take necessary measures for protection of the public from negative influence of tobacco smoke.   

 

However, the Committee members stated that the Bill requires substantial editing and further technical and legal improvement.
