The Committee on Legislative Support of Law Enforcement recommends that the Parliament adopts as a Basis and in its Entirety the Bill on Amendments to the Procedural Criminal Code of Ukraine (re Elimination of Feigned Obstacles to the Activity of Law Enforcement Bodies)

The Bill (Reg. No.1337) introduces amendments to Articles 206, 236-7, 236-8, which exclude a regulation concerning realization of functions not envisaged by the Constitution of Ukraine by the courts. The amendments aim at provision of timely and objective consideration of appeals regarding resolutions on institution of criminal proceedings.

 

The Committee members upheld the Bill, since its adoption "will create conditions for efficient protection of violated citizens´ rights and liberties, and State interests by criminal and legal means".
