At the meeting, the Parties discussed political situation in Palestine, and the prospects of cooperation between the countries on the levels of States and parliaments. Oleh Bilorus, Committee Chairman, stated that "Ukraine always supports Palestinian nation that demonstrates his will to live in a sovereign State".
Khalid Ariqat stated that his country "adheres to the peaceful course, is willing to settle the problems with Israel in order to suspend hostilities and establish proper relations". Khalid Ariqat expressed his gratitude to Ukraine for humanitarian aid granted to Palestine.
The Committee Chairman informed the Ambassador of Palestine of creation of a Deputy Group of Friendship between Ukraine and Palestine.
The Parties also discussed cooperation in the educational sector, especially concerning possibility of Palestinian students to study in Ukrainian higher education establishments.
