The Committee on Environmental Policy, Use of Natural Resources and Elimination of Consequences of Chornobyl Disaster upholds the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On the State Budget of Ukraine for Year 2008 and Amendments to several Legislative Acts" (re Charges for Environmental Pollution)

The Bill (Reg. No.2249) restores the principle of distribution of funds obtained as environmental pollution charge between local (village, settlement, city), regional and republican budgets of Crimean Autonomous Republic, and the State Environmental Protection Fund at a ratio of 20, 50 and 30 per cent, and between Kyiv and Sevastopol city budgets and the State Fund at a ration of 70 and 30 per cent.   

 

The Committee recommends that The Verkhovna Rada adopts the Bill as a basis, taking into account the introduced motions. The said resolution has been forwarded to the profile Committee on Budget.
