V.Ivanyshyn, Director General of the Agrarian Fund, reported on the said issue. He stated that due to the rapid growth of prices for grain at the world and internal markets, the Agrarian Fund was deprived of a possibility to make financial interventions, as it is envisaged by the Law "On State Support of Agriculture of Ukraine". Therefore, the Government passed a number of resolutions concerning commodity interventions to be made by the Agrarian Fund.
The Committee recommends that The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine scrutinizes the Bill on Amendments to the Law "On State Support of Agriculture of Ukraine" (re Enhancement of State Price Regulation of Agricultural Produce Market, Insurance of Agricultural Production Risks, and Implementation of Actions related to Restoration of Cattle Breeding and Realization of Social Programmes in the Rural Area), (Reg. No. 2375).
