Andriy Parubiy: Ukrainian Parliament will consider draft 2017 state budget, amendments to Verkhovna Rada Regulations, security and defense issues over current plenary week

Over the current plenary week, the Ukrainian Parliament will consider the draft state budget for 2017, amendments to the Verkhovna Rada Regulations, issues of security and defense as well as housing-public utility matters, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Andriy Parubiy, said this opening the Monday meeting of the Conciliatory Council of the heads of the parliamentary factions and the chairs of the Verkhovna Rada committees.

He said that in compliance with Article 157 of the Verkhovna Rada Regulations, the draft state budget for 2017 will have to be considered in first reading not later than October 20.

Besides, Andriy Parubiy called on the parliamentary factions' heads to discuss the introduction of a business-ombudsman position. "This issue is our debt to the European Union," Parubiy stressed.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada also urged the heads of the parliamentary factions to discuss the bill No. 4696 on the parliamentary reform, in particular, the amendments to the Verkhovna Rada Regulations.
