The Committee on Human Rights, National Minorities and International Relations recommends that the Parliament adopts the Bill "On recognizing Ukrainian Population forcibly resettled in Years 1944-1951, as deported, and on Restoration of their Rights" as a Basis

Pursuant to the Bill (Reg. No.1398), Ukrainian citizens forcibly resettled from their historic land at the territory of Poland to Ukraine in Years 1944-1951 are recognized as deported, and the benefits of war participants are extended to the said citizens and their family members.  

 

The People´s Deputies deem necessary to settle the problems of the deported. However, they are to be settled in complex, as they concern not only the people who were forcibly resettled from Poland to Ukraine.

 

The Committee members stated that several defects of the Bill are to be eliminated whilst drafting the document for the Second Reading.
