Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andrii Parubii told the Rada TV Channel that the 20th anniversary of the Ukrainian Constitution is important for Ukraine as its adoption was a step in the state building process in Ukraine. "In fact Ukraine was the last of the post-Soviet countries to adopt its Constitution. That process lasted four years," he said.

The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada called the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Ukrainian Constitution an important and symbolic event. "I have signed the Order to hold festive meeting of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with the participation of the President of Ukraine, chairpersons of the Verkhovna Rada Committees, deputies, who took part in the adoption of the Ukrainian Constitution," the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada said.
