Chairman of Verkhovna Rada Andrii Parubii lays flowers to monument to Pylyp Orlyk

On Tuesday, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andrii Parubii laid flowers to the monument to Pylyp Orlyk, a Zaporizhia Cossack starshyna, Hetman in exile, diplomat, secretary, a close associate of Hetman Ivan Mazepa, and one of the establishers of the world's first Constitution — the Constitution of Pylyp Orlyk.

The ceremony was dedicated to the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Ukrainian Constitution. The participants in the ceremony were President Petro Poroshenko, First Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Iryna Heraschenko, people's deputies of Ukraine, members of the Ukrainian Government, Kyiv city mayor / chairperson of the Kyiv city state administration Vitali Klitschko, clergy, public activists and anti-terrorist operation participants.
