Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andrii Parubii states that the procedures of appointment and dismissal of the Central Election Commission members must receive respective approval of the relevant Verkhovna Rada Committee and the deputy factions.
He said this at a briefing after the meeting of the Conciliatory Council of the heads of the parliamentary factions and the chairpersons of the Verkhovna Rada committees on Monday.
Andrii Parubii noted that at first the Verkhovna Rada has to dismiss current CEC members and then vote for each candidacy recommended by the President of Ukraine.
After the approval of the candidacies the President of Ukraine will have to sign respective directive to appoint them, Parubii said.
