On Thursday Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrii Parubii participated in the forum "The Future of e-government in Ukraine".
Addressing the participants of the Forum Parubii said that e-government is a very good and a fine example of cooperation of public sector, legislative and executive branches of the government. He called symbolic that this process, in all areas, "is being organized by the those people who stood on the Maidan and were not divided on public or executive power." "People who were standing side by side in different sectors and different fields are implementing many of those ideas for which they stood on the Maidan," - he said and recalled the poster that was shown on the barricades: "Sorry for inconveniences - we are changing country!".
Parubii is confident that the innovations to be implemented, will enable revolutionary changes in society. One of the tools of changes he named a portal that allows any citizen to see the distribution of budget funds, enables journalists during their investigation to reveal corruption from the lowest to the highest level. "Speaking of the fight against corruption – this is a transparency of representative, legislative and executive powers” - he said. – “We should light up, as with X-rays, all the areas infested by corrupt process because the corruption heritage is very heavy. It is like a cancer tumor that infected all Ukrainian society. We should honestly talk about it."
To the Chairman of the Parliament conviction to eliminate corruption as a phenomenon, "the government transparency, access to information of common citizens should be at all levels." "E-democracy, e-governmance enables us to do this. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has made in this direction very important steps – this is e-government, open parliament and public access to all documents of the parliament, support initiatives that come to us"- said Parubii, noting that innovation will make significant changes in the sphere of relations citizens with the state in the fight against corruption.

stressed that "the parliament of this convocation, compared with others,
stands for building a European Ukraine, the national State and the path to reform."
However, Parubii called our nowadays "exceptional period" when "we
have an incredible collaboration with the Government, constant dialogue with
civil society and an understanding among themselves." "We have a
unique opportunity - we can support put into reality the wildest, boldest
ideas" - he stressed.
According to him, despite of discussions about the tactical steps Parliament has a strategic vision of the State. "The Parliament has sufficient unity and enough votes the reforms to be carried out. I am convinced that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has great potential, "- he said and appealed to the public sector with a request to submit an initiative, assuring its full support.
