During the presentation of the amendments to the Verkhovna Rada Regulations on Friday, Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrii Parubii noted that the amendments would touch the improvement of the quality of draft laws.

In particular, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Budget will have to provide its conclusions on the draft laws. "Because, sometimes, especially prior to any election, they offer some populist draft laws, whose implementation sometimes require several budgets of the United States. The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Budget will have to provide own conclusion on each and every draft law to clarify the level of burden on the state budget of Ukraine," the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said.

He also noted that the procedure requires approvals of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Corruption Prevention and Counteraction and the Verkhovna Rada Committee on European Integration.

Andrii Parubii informed that this draft law is currently at the stage of discussion thus, it had not been consciously registered at the Ukrainian Parliament and was sent to all people's deputies last week. "I think the draft law will be registered and submitted for the consideration of the Ukrainian Parliament only after its detailed discussion with the heads of parliamentary factions and deputy groups," he noted.

The Chairperson of the Ukrainian Parliament considers that social pressure will have to play remarkable part in raising efficiency of Verkhovna Rada's work and improvement of the people's deputies' discipline. "I am confident that this Verkhovna Rada has considerable potential. It has already approved all the anticorruption laws, the whole range of laws required for the liberalization of the visa regime, the laws that facilitated the development of the Ukrainian Army. We have to use whole potential of the Ukrainian Parliament," he said.
