The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine O. Moroz put forward an application to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine for information on Court investigations into the disputes arising from the premature abdication of People´s Deputies in both ‘The Yulia Tymoshenko´ and ‘Our Ukraine´ Blocs, and to ascertain if the Central Election Committee has now considered Registration of replacement People´s Deputies, promoted from those Deputy Candidates lying next on the lists of the above Parties.
"On 13 June 2007 the Central Election Committee forwarded to The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine information concerning situation around premature abdication of a group of the People´s Deputies of Ukraine in both ‘The Yulia Tymoshenko´ and ‘Our Ukraine´ Blocs, and concerning Court investigations into the disputes arising from the said issue (the Letter of The Central Election Committee № 21-17-1402).
In view of the above, I make a request for information whether Court investigations into the said disputes have been concluded and whether the Central Election Committee has considered Registration of replacement People´s Deputies, promoted from those Deputy Candidates lying next on the lists of the above Parties. Otherwise, I make a request for information of the reasons for inertness of The Central Election Committee as regards realization of procedure of replacement of vacant posts of the People´s Deputies of Ukraine, established by Part 1 of Article 101 of the Law of Ukraine "On Election of the People´s Deputies of Ukraine", - states the Application.
