On Wednesday evening, Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman met with President of the Ukrainian World Congress Eugene Czolij.
Groysman highly appreciated the role of the foreign Ukrainians in current fight of the country for its independence and sovereign European choice.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada thanked the Congress and Mr. Czolij personally for their systemic work aimed at the promotion of Ukraine's interests in the international arena.
The participants in the meeting agreed that spread of fair information about the events taking place in Ukraine was important in terms of counteraction to Russia's propaganda.
Groysman called on the Ukrainian World Congress to join the process of releasing political prisoners kept in custody in Russia.
The meeting participants also discussed the ways to settle current political crisis in Ukraine. Groysman again noted unacceptability of snap parliamentary election for Ukraine saying that such election would only slow down the reforms and destabilize the situation in the country.
