Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman hopes for the state-oriented position and pro-Ukrainian approach of the parliamentary political forces during the process of searching the solution to current political crisis in Ukraine.
Groysman has told this to the ICTV channel.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada also informed that earlier, a meeting of the leaders of parliamentary factions and groups had ended. "The majority [of the meeting participants] calls for finding a solution to the political, I would rather call it, governmental crisis," he said.
Besides, the leaders of the Ukrainian Parliament agreed that "we have to ensure effective work of the Parliament in the key fields, and then continue consultations unless we find the solution to this governmental, and already political crisis," Groysman said. At the same time, he said that everybody has understood that snap parliamentary election were not acceptable for Ukraine today.
According to the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada, the prime minister along with own political force has to take the decision on further steps as to getting out of the crisis. "I believe that everyone can acquire a pro-Ukrainian position and take pro-Ukrainian decisions," he said.
He also noted that the political crisis in the country was a result of dissatisfaction of the citizens with the level of state governance. "The people see certain imperfection of the reforms — when increase in tariffs and decrease in pensions are called reforms," the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said.
Groysman again noted that an action plan containing 7-10 clear tasks should be elaborated to get the country out of the crisis. According to him, such action plan will have to unite all the political forces.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said that the Government has to be professional, effective, able to take responsibility and correct mistakes made earlier. He said that current crisis should become the moment letting Ukrainian politicians make conclusions on the reforms held in the country. "Only an accurate examination of the problems we have can unite all the political forces," he said.
