The macro-financial assistance provided by the International Monetary Fund allows Ukraine to hold systemic reforms and structural transformations in the country.
Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this at the 12th annual investment conference of Dragon Capital in Kyiv on Thursday.
"We receive the tranches, we receive the funds that allow us to support the macro-financial stability. We have got some time to conduct structural, systemic reforms — to recover national economy, do best to fill the budget. Therefore, we can plan further strategy of the development of our state," he said.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said that it is very important for the issues of cooperation with the IMF and the plan for domestic reforms in Ukraine to correspond to each other.
At that Groysman noted that the IMF's assistance should be used as effectively as possible. "Firstly Ukraine has to fulfill all the obligations it takes to the international financial organizations and revive the national economy," he said.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted that the Ukrainian Parliament is not a party of the negotiations with the International Monetary Fund, however, the issue of cooperation is always one of the priorities in the activity of both — the Chairperson of the Ukrainian Parliament and people's deputies of Ukraine. "The cooperation with the IMF should be one of the top-priorities. All the obligations taken by the country have to be fulfilled timely and in full. All those agreements reached during the negotiations must be adopted," he said.
Groysman also noted that at the same time with the implementation of the action plan of the IMF, the Government should not abuse this issue.
