During his visit to Canada, First Deputy Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andrii Parubii said that Minister of National Defense of Canada Harjit Singh Sajjan along with the parliamentary delegation would pay official visit to Ukraine at the earliest possible time. "The defense minister and I have agreed his visit to Ukraine at the earliest possible time. He promised to gather a two-party delegation and arrive," he said.
Parubii noted that the parties discussed the topic of providing Ukraine with lethal and non-lethal weapons. "We have discussed the issue of lethal weapons provision and had a deeper discussion of supplies of non-lethal equipment required by Ukraine," Parubii said.
According to him, the parties also discussed the secure communication systems, electromagnetic warfare systems, antitank weapons, coastal protection systems, and armored vehicles.
The representatives of the defense ministry of Canada also agreed not to revise the number of their military instructors in Ukraine.
