In the period of February 29 - March 2, the European Parliament in Brussels (Belgium) will host the Ukraine Week. Within the framework of the event, the Needs Assessment Mission of the European Parliament will present the Report and the Action plan on the reformation of the Ukrainian Parliament.

Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman told this to the ICTV channel on Monday.

"Among the rest of the proposals, the Action plan will contain a solution that will allow introduction of mixed plenary / committee weeks and increase their number," Groysman said.

Besides, a number of meetings with high-ranking officials of the European Union will take place within the framework of the Ukraine Week in Brussels.

The decisions presented during the Ukraine Week at the European Parliament will be offered for consideration by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, thus, they require respective support of the people's deputies.

"We have to change not only the Parliament — we have to change the system of the parliamentarianism in Ukraine, because unfortunately, current status quo is not in line either with the calls of the times, or the demands of the nowadays and principles of European parliamentarianism," he said.

"The Parliament itself will have to change, the system of the parliamentarianism will have to change," Groysman said.
