The reform of the National Police is one of the changes able to restore the trust of ordinary people.

Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this within the framework of a solemn ceremony of oath-taking by the police officers in Vinnytsia on February 22.

"Today, we are witnessing the beginning of the new page in the history of the Vinnytsia city police. This is one of those changes in our society able to restore the trust of ordinary people in the National Police," he said.

The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted that today the major strivings of the citizens such as peace, mutual respect, desire to have a good job should be guaranteed and protected. "I believe in the victory. I believe that one day we will tell each other that we had spent so long to win and succeeded," the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said.

Groysman expressed confidence that new employees of the Vinnytsia National Police will "guarantee these values — the values of the civilized world," and will ensure safety and respect to local residents.
