Groysman initiating elaboration of action plan to overcome political crisis

Next week, Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman is initiating consultations with the public experts to elaborate a joint action plan that will allow overcoming the political crisis in the country and combine efforts to implement it.

The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said this in his interview for the Rada TV Channel on Friday.

"The solution is the following: an anti-crisis consolidating action plan should be elaborated to envision clear steps to overcome, political, economic, social and management crisis. These are four basic issues we have to pay our attention to," he said.

Groysman said that next week, his team and he will meet with experts and civil society actors to discuss the required action plan. "During the forthcoming weeks, I believe it is important for me as the Chairperson of the Ukrainian Parliament, to elaborate what can become the basis for a consolidating action plan," the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada said.

Groysman also said that the political forces have to come to common decision to overcome the crisis Ukraine is in now. "Everyone today has to acknowledge that it is about the fate of the nation to find joint basic solution to the current crisis," he said.

"There should be a joint decision for the sake of Ukraine and the Ukrainians," Groysman said.

The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada noted that a joint action plan should contain "very clear indicators and values concerning what is going to be done in every single field of life the people are concerned about today," in particular, in the fields of economy, social assistance and management.

"A harmonious joint plan will allow us to combat this crunch," Groysman said.

The Chairperson of the Ukrainian Parliament noted that this process will last for more than a week, however, "the most important for us is to overcome current crisis. The people will demand some visible results," Groysman said.
