Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman considers economic rehabilitation and creation of jobs to be Ukraine's priority for 2016.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada has told this to journalists in Vinnytsia.
Groysman noted that the reduction in the number of jobs logically entails other negative economic events: decrease of demand in the market, decrease of buying capacity of the population and production, as well as growth of unemployment.
According to Groysman, these issues can be tackled through expansion of revenues of local budgets this year.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada reminded that in 2015, the decentralization reform provided local budgets with UAH 40 billion to be channeled for creation of jobs at the local level. He admitted that the indicator may reach UAH 60 billion this year.
Among other priorities in work of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for 2016, Groysman called the reformation of the health care sector, the sector of education, decentralization and internal reformation of the Ukrainian legislature.
