During the 5th Convocation, The Industrial and Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship Committee focused on the Legislative Regulation of Ukraine's Industrial Complex Operation

According to The Committee Chairman, S. Matvienkov, The Committee has elaborated on almost 40 Bills, among which 36 have been introduced to The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. These Bills mainly relate to the Legislative Regulation of The State Regulatory Policy principles in the area of Business Conduct. Of the Laws adopted the most important, in his opinion, are the Laws on The Sate Registration of Business entities, and the setting up of a unified Incorporation System. The Committee has also elaborated on a package of Bills appertaining to The State Regulation of setting up Gambling businesses, the issue and conduct of Lotteries and other Draws.

 

The Law ‘On Standards, Technical Regulations and Conformance Assessment´ has been amended within the framework of the Governmental Project for Ukraine´s entry into The WTO, to harmonise legislation on Technical Regulation, Standardization and Conformance Assessment.

 

The .Committee held several Field Meetings to resolve a number of important matters within its scope, related to the operation of sectors and businesses. For instance, The Committee studied the construction of a new steel-rolling mill in Bila Tserkva, and its prospects for the development of the metallurgical sector through using up-to-date processes for recycling scrap metal and ferrous material rejects.

 

The Committee has also held a number of events, with assistance from relevant Ministries and

Departments, and among them Committee hearings on the current state of sector-based Science, public hearings on the problems with, and ways to preserve, the Labour Potential in Ukraine, and a Round Table to deliberate the Proposals for the Bill on the Major Principles of State Monitoring (Supervision) of Business Conduct in Ukraine.
