The Bill (Reg. No. 1287) envisages extension of moratorium on bankruptcy of coal enterprises till 1 January 2010.
At the meeting it was emphasized that adoption of the proposed amendments to the effective Law will enable the Government to implement a system of actions on reforming, technical re-equipment and procurement of stable development of coal enterprises, whilst implementing energy strategy of Ukraine and Ukrainian Coal Industry Development Concept.
Inter alia, the Bill envisages that "Cases on Bankruptcy of Mining Enterprises (Mining Complexes, Coal Mines, Mines, Pits, Quarries, Open-Pit Mines, Concentrating Mills, Coal Mine Constructing Enterprises), with not less than 25 per cent of State shares in statutory funds, have not been violated since effective date of the Law of Ukraine "On Financial Rehabilitation of a Debtor or his Adjudication in Bankruptcy" till 1 January 2010".
