Reanimation Package of Reforms awards Groysman with diploma for most active partnership

Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman and representatives of the Reanimation Package of Reforms have discussed trends of joint activity in 2016 at their meeting on Monday.

Starting the discussion, Volodymyr Groysman noted the efficiency of cooperation between the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and experts of the Reanimation Package of Reforms in 2015. "I believe that along with the society we managed to tackle a number of reformation tasks last year. I am confident that the Ukrainian Parliament has to be the place for discussing decisions at the stage of their elaboration," he said.

Representatives of the Reanimation Package of Reforms also noted that 2015 was the most successful year from the point of view of cooperation between the Parliament and its experts. In particular, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine passed 55 laws elaborated with the participation of or gaining the support of the Reanimation Package of Reforms. Besides, they appreciated the introduction of theme-based days at the Parliament and other innovations introduced in 2015. Particular attention was paid to the introduction of e-technologies and increase of the Ukrainian Parliament's openness.

Therefore, representatives of the Reanimation Package of Reforms thanks the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada and awarded him with the diploma "For the most active partnership among all Parliament's heads."

The Reanimation Package of Reforms' representatives pointed out a number of issues they said required particular joint attention in 2016. The most important ones are: combating of corruption, visa liberalization, lifting of deputy immunity, judicial reform, tax reform and state service reform in Ukraine, health care reform, etc.

Groysman thanked the experts for their high estimation to the cooperation and for their support to the Parliament's initiatives.

Besides, Groysman supported proposal of experts of the Reanimation Package of Reforms to hold such meetings on the quarterly basis.
