The joint workgroup of the Ukrainian Parliament and the Ukrainian Government will have to prepare proposals as to the improvement of the State Budget of Ukraine for 2016.
Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman said this opening the plenary meeting on Friday, December 24.
"I believe everybody would agree that the work has not yet been finished. It should be continued. I think we will create a joint workgroup along with the Government to work out the proposals touching the improvement of the state budget for 2016," he said.
Groysman again noted that the adopted budget for the next year was tactical, but not strategic as it "still requires further work."
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada congratulated the people's deputies on "the very important decisions taken as a result of the Parliament's consolidation today."
Groysman noted that the adopted budget finally enshrined a number of positive decisions, in particular, the ones touching the retention of the financial decentralization, simplification of the taxation for small and mid-sized business and decrease of the size of the unified social tax.
"We have disappointed all of those, who wanted to destabilize the situation in Ukraine. We have made a very important step for Ukraine from the point of view of the taken decisions, inter alia the adoption of the budget," the Chairperson of the Ukrainian Parliament said.
